David H. Katz, Managing Member

Mr. Katz is a founding principal of TenRock Capital and a respected industry expert in the areas of commercial lending, commercial real estate lending, workouts and foreclosures, mortgage securitization and mortgage finance.

A native of Memphis, Mr. Katz began his professional career more than 25 years ago as an attorney with the Memphis law firm, Glankler, Brown. Mr. Katz left the private practice of law 12 years later to join his family’s mortgage banking firm, National Mortgage Company in Memphis, Tennessee. At National Mortgage, Mr. Katz founded and managed a highly successful Commercial and Multifamily Mortgage Finance Department until the Company was sold in 1995. After the sale of National Mortgage Company to Boatmen’s Bancshares (now Bank of America) in 1995, Mr. Katz moved to New York City and joined Sandler O’Neill and Partners, L.P. as a Managing Director in Mortgage Finance.

In 1998, Mr. Katz founded Castlerock Investments LLC, a successful commercial real estate investment firm based in New Jersey. For Mr. Katz, TenRock marks a return to his roots in mortgage finance.
